Cleardocs.co.uk launches ACAS aligned Disputes and Conflict letters — reflecting customer demand for help with best practice disciplinary procedures
- Customer feedback drives launch of Disciplinary, dismissal and poor performance letter set
- On-going commitment to reducing the complexity of legal employment documentation in England & Wales
The letter set is another addition to the Cleardocs product portfolio which now includes staff handbooks, employment contracts (standard and executive), consultancy agreements, redundancy notification letters and compromise agreements. These are in addition to the many documents — including an appraisal form — that customers can download and use for free.
Managing employee discipline and dismissal is a delicate area. Failing to follow the correct procedures can lead to claims in the Employment Tribunal. In light of this, Cleardocs has worked closely with Ashfords LLP Solicitors to create a versatile set of letters that organisations can tailor online to suit what they need — a performance review, written warning or final written warning. In certain scenarios, having followed the correct disciplinary procedure, dismissal may be the only option. The letters facilitate this and allow the employer to handle this incredibly delicate situation in the correct manner under the ACAS code of practice.
Cleardocs founder and Managing Director, Christopher Balmford commented “the Cleardocs dispute and conflict letters allow employers to handle potentially tricky employee-management situations correctly, fairly, and safely. The letters are aligned with the ACAS code of practice — so any organisation with the Cleardocs staff handbook can rest assured that the letters will fit in perfectly with its disciplinary procedures.
It was important for Cleardocs to introduce these letters as the handling of disciplinary decisions can often lead to claims in the Employment Tribunal. We want to do whatever we can to help employers and employees avoid those situations.”
The dispute and conflict letters are an important addition to the Cleardocs product range which now provides business owners with many of the documents required to suucessfully manage their employees. The set of letters is part of Cleardocs’ long-term commitment to reducing the complexity — and to improving the clarity and simplicity — of legal employment documents in England and Wales.
